What would you actually score on CASPer?

Answer one real scenario below. You'll get an instant quartile estimate and two specific things to fix — scored against the same attributes CASPer assesses.

Online Study Group Comment

You are part of an online study group for a challenging university course. During a video call, after a fellow student, Priya, logs off, another student, Ben, makes a dismissive comment about Priya's recent questions, suggesting she isn't capable enough for the course. Some other members chuckle, while others remain silent. You found Priya's questions to be insightful and her effort commendable.

Common questions

Is this really free?

Yes. You can score a response here without an account, an email address, or a credit card. We limit it to three attempts per day so we can afford to keep it open to everyone.

How accurate is the score?

It's an estimate, not an official result. We score your response against the same attributes CASPer assesses, using the rubric our full platform uses. It's genuinely useful for spotting weaknesses — but Acuity Insights does not publish raw scores, so no tool can predict your official quartile exactly.

What is a CASPer quartile?

CASPer doesn't give you a mark. It ranks you against everyone else who sat the same test and reports which quarter of that group you fell into. 1st quartile is the top 25%. Schools use this alongside your GPA and other admissions criteria.

How long should a CASPer response be?

For typed responses you typically have around five minutes for three questions, so most strong answers land between 150 and 250 words each. Depth matters far more than length — assessors reward considering multiple perspectives and committing to a clear action.
